Founded with the mission to serve the local Muslim community, Jamia Usmania has grown into a sanctuary for prayer, a place of profound learning, and a cornerstone of social cohesion. We believe that a mosque should be more than just a place of worship; it should be a community hub that supports the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of all ages.
Our Purpose
At the core of Jamia Usmania is our commitment to the spiritual regeneration of our community. We provide a space for the remembrance of Allah, the regular performance of the five daily prayers, and a deep, meaningful connection to the Quran and the Sunnah.
Beyond our religious services, we are dedicated to fostering education from “cradle to grave.” Through our comprehensive Islamic educational programmes, we strive to equip the next generation with not only the knowledge of their faith but also the manners and values necessary to become compassionate, contributing members of society.

A Growing Community
Our community is rapidly expanding, and so is our vision. To ensure we can continue to meet the needs of our diverse and growing congregation, we are currently in the midst of an exciting redevelopment project. By constructing a new, purpose-built facility, we are creating more space for worship, expanded classrooms for our youth, and dedicated areas for community activities.

We are also evolving to meet the modern-day needs of our community. From hosting wellness sessions and community outreach to providing a safe, supportive environment for our elderly, we are continually looking for innovative ways to serve the people of Bradford.
